Cauldron Cake Pops
Dark Chocolate Flavored Melting Wafers 10 oz Bag
Easy
Ingredients
- 1 10oz bag GHIRARDELLI® Dark Chocolate Flavored Melting Wafers
- 1 10oz bag GHIRARDELLI® White Vanilla Flavored Melting Wafers
- 1 (9x9 inch) chocolate cake, baked and cooled
- 1/2 cup chocolate frosting
- Black and green food coloring (oil based)
- Round green sprinkles
- Bone and eyeball sprinkles
Directions
- Crumble the cake into a large mixing bowl and add the frosting. Mix until a thick dough forms. Scoop out small amounts with a cookie scoop and roll into balls. Place into the fridge for 30 minutes to firm up.
- Place the Dark Chocolate Flavored Wafers into a microwave safe bowl and heat for 30 second intervals until fully melted. Add in a few drops of black food coloring and stir until well combined.
- Dip the end of a lollipop stick into the melted wafers, then insert the coated end into a cake ball. Repeat with the remaining cake balls.
- Dip each one into the melted wafers and place onto a sheet of parchment paper to set. Allow a small amount of excess chocolate to pool at the base of the cake pop to form the rim of the cauldron.
- Place the Vanilla Flavored Wafers into a microwave safe bowl and heat for 30 second intervals until fully melted. Add a few drops of green food coloring and stir until well combined. Pour the melted wafers into a piping bag and snip off the end.
- Remove the cake pops from the parchment paper and flip the flat end upright. Pipe the green melted wafers on top of each one and allow it to drizzle over the edges of the “cauldron”. Add sprinkles before the coating has set.
